1 pair of trousers - 3 looks.

i was looking through my moms closet today for something to wear (yep, i don't have enough clothes) and i found this pair of trousers from lindex. they are a bit different from the usual classy pants because of a stretchy waist which gives out a somewhat sporty look.
so i put them on and dressed them up and down in three looks.

book reviews - invisible monsters and never let me go.

invisible monsters by chuck palahniuk.
it's a book about a girl who got into a horrible accident and met a 'soulmate' who looks as pretty as she did before the accident. sounds quite simple, right? well, it aint. to begin i have to mention that this same writer wrote 'fight club' which makes sense when you finish this book because it is a rollercoaster and it's super twisted. the beginning was pretty boring and i couldn't understand anything, writing different passages for different times didn't help as well. but when i got the hang of it i realised how twisted every sentence is and how interesting it is to unravel the secrets one by one. even though i enjoyed it a lot i don't think it's for everyone, in this book the main character curses so much to a point it's a bit hard to read, plus, there are some explicit details about everything sex related from actual sex to diseases. and when i say explicit, i mean very explicit. so really not a book for young people. overall enjoyed it quite a bit.
never let me go by kazuo ishiguro.
a book about children in a 'special' school, and later on we find out that it's a school for future donors (basically they live just to later on in their life give all their organs and die). in a way i'd call this a horror novel since the concept is gruesome yet it has quite a few elements of a simple love/the meaning of life story. i didn't read it thoroughly because i felt like at times it wasn't necessary - it's an easy read, good to have on your bedside table. overall really enjoyed it, also liked the way it was written (like hearing a story from a friend). would rate it 4/5 just because of a slow pace in few places.

2looks.

a grandma with a twist - even though you were fooled by all of those layers of clothing, those kicks will tell you the truth - it's just a 20 year-old who spends too much money on clothes and is very self-conscious about her body.
a problematic teenager with a tumblr blog who sketches people in the bus and writes shitty poetry. oh, and she always brings a water bottle with her.

new kicks.

i had a very lucky day today and added these to my (not so slowly) growing shoe collection for less than 20 euros for all of them. i yet have to find adidas superstar in my size but i'll never lose faith in my city's thift shops.

a little haul.

i'm a sucker for anything vintage/antique so when my mum asked me if i wanted to drive with her to a market i instantly said yes.
the first thing i picked up was this beautiful picture in a massive frame. it reminded me of those american movies in 80's-90's, those houses full of family pictures and others like these hanging above the staircase. this beauty costed only 2 euros.
the next thing i picked up were these 3 small pictures with frames, i don't know why but i really enjoy these type of pictures and they were only 60 cents each!
now for the greatest purchase of mine - this nikon film camera. i still haven't researched the model but it's L35TW. basically i found it in a box next to about 8 more similar to these but this seemed to be less busted than the others. i was quite afraid to purchase another camera since about a month ago i got a fujifilm camera for 3 euros from a thrift shop and it didn't work. but this was just too beautiful to pass up and it only costed 4 euros. i brought this bad boi home, put in some batteries and tried it for the first time. luckily enough it works just fine!

hits and misses - photo editing apps.

PhotoWonder - app for editing selfies. you can use many different (weird) features like making yourself smile or creating that 'flawless' asian skin look.
Tadaa - it's filters are no good but i like the 3D effect called colorshift and old photo frames. other that those two this app isn't special.
Camera360 - has a few very nice filters either for taking photos or filming, my favourite - lazy.
Rakuga cute - a very japanese photo editing app which i use for adding glittery things to my photos like one of my instagram selfies, other than that it's quite useless
Geló - ok so i wish i could say i know how to work this but i really can't this is an app which gives you colour to your photo either on your whole picture or as a shape or as a gradually fading filter. in the app's description was a black and white photo with a red circle in the middle and it looked quite dramatic so i feel like i could maybe do that in the future.
PhotoMirror - it does what it says - mirror effect on your photos, great for selfies or ootd shots.
Rookie Cam - very easy to use, great variety of different filters, one of the best apps i've found.
Aviary - has a few nice filters, but other than that - nothing special. my favourite - arizona.
PS Express - good for reducing noise but filters are incredibly bad.
Pic collage - does what it says, but still not the most comfortable app for collaging photos.
Pixlr - a very multifunctional app, great for many things but takes a while to even try every single feature.
VSCO - do i really have to comment on this app? i use it every single day and i'm sure i'll use it for a very long time in the future. a tip - go to it's store to purchase more filters that are free.

current obsessions.

ok, so i ordered this cute little phone case 2 weeks ago and it came in mail just a few days ago. i guess just by looking at it you can tell why i'm obsessed with this. it's not the most comfortable thing and my phone is definitely a lot heavier but it's really worth itt.

my friend, and the only viewer of this blog, told me to watch this series. first few episodes weren't that intriguing but i kept watching and it's soooo good. so this tv show is about a man who travels back in time to 1960 and he has to change the past - save JFK. i mean the plot sounds like this show's going to be all over the place but believe me - it is beautifully filmed, actors are great, loved the 70's vibe and generally the idea of time travel was well presented.

when i went to vilnius i only brought 2 t-shirts with me and i slept in one of them so basically i only had this bad boi for going out. and let me tell you, i loved every minute wearing it. firstly, look at the design - pretty kool and more original than the actual unknown pleasures one. secondly, got it at a thirft store for less than a euro. beat that;)

next obsession - photo editing apps. i've been watching a few very creative youtubers and i got really inspired to create my own content here and just have fun with it. i'll never be a professional nor am i trying to become one butt apps like these help me do a few fun things to my photos. so these aren't exactly the ones that i enjoy the most, i'll most likely (after trying them out more thoroughly) write a post about them. but for now:
love the app 'r4ve', it gives me that beautiful background that you can see right now, 'VSCO' is my old fave for adding bomb filters, 'rookie cam' has a lot of nice filters too but most of them you need to purchase. 'camcorder' films videos in 80's and 90's style and 'boomerang' is great for interesting gifs. i guess the last two weren't really photo editing apps but nonetheless amazing.

ok, so this is literally now my obsession because i spend most of my day on it, and it is planning. yesterday me and my friend purchased tickets to paris for a week from august 13 to 20th. i've never traveled without my parents so it was a scary decision for me and also for my friend. we've been planning every single detail - from getting from/to the airport, using metro stations, closest supermarkets and obviously places to visit. i feel like with this planning we're going to save a lot of money because heavy browsing already lead to us purchasing a very cheap flight+hotel deal in the center of paris. this is why i think i'll write a post for those planning the trip too but that will most likely happen after the trip.

also, i feel like my summer's been all about forgetting that i made tea. for some bizarre reason i cannot remember to check on it and i end up drinking it after it's been sitting there for 2 hours.

lime crime liquid lipstick dupes - review.

received my goodies in the mail today - these are the popular liquid lipsticks. i'm not that kinda gal who pays 20 dollars for a lipstick so aliexpress is yet again saving the day. this time i ordered these beauties, the seller no longer sells these but the website is full of these exact ones and they're only about 1.5$ each. i ordered shades cashmere, polly and riot. so here's my review after trying them on,
pros:
  • it stays for a very very long time and it's impossible to wash without a waterproof make-up remover.
  • there are some amazing colours to choose from.
  • obviously the price.

cons:
  • super sticky, it's not a problem to talk with these or close your mouth but when you do that thing (you know what thing you do when you apply lipstick) it sticks like hell.
  • for some reason it gets on your teeth.
  • cashmere was the colour i was really excited to try and i ended up looking like i just came from a cold swim with those somewhat blue lips. maybe it's just my pale complexion.

i know it may not seem like it with all those cons but i'm actually super excited for these and i may order even more in the future.

night time routine products.

for night time i usually use just a few products just so my face can breath and deal with itself on itself if ya know what i mean. so this is basically what i use every evening to clean my face and moisturize it.
1. eucerin wash lotion - 5.79 euros.
me and my mom have been using this for many many years and i don't think anything will replace this product. i use it to wash most of my make-up off and since this brand is all about healthy skin it's been really improving my skin and i feel like this might be the reason why i haven't had any pimples or blemishes in a while.
2. rival de loop make-up remover - 2.17 euros.
bought this right after i got a waterproof mascara since this remover is great for that. but not only was it amazing for removing waterproof make-up, it was also always for sale for less then 1.5 euros and it's the best for any eye make-up removing. this is probably my fifth bottle already and i get through this in about a month.
3. rival de loop cleaning lotion.
after everything i usually used my make-up forever lotion but i've finished it about a month ago and got this and it's been a great replacement. the only problem i have with this is that you really need to use a lot to clean your whole face.
4. eucerin face cream - 11 euros.
in the past i've used eucerin's cream but in red, but the formula wasn't as good as this one's - you only need a small amount for you whole face and it's super moisturizing and i've been seeing improvement of my face after a few uses.
